A successful long-running North-East enterprise is about to get a third string to is bow. High spec, unusual office space is now available to rent on the previously unused upper floors of the Georgian Grade II mansion near Ponteland.

Dissington Hall and its surrounding 27 acres of private woodland, has been owned and managed by Michael and Gill Brown since 1992. They had their own wedding at Dissington in 1990 and decided to transform what had been a family home into a thriving wedding and conference business. Dissington Hall now has an excellent reputation for weddings and large functions and great care has been taken to retain a personal quality and ambiance very different to that of large chain hotels. The emphasis has always been on developing the buildings slowly and sympathetically.

The Hall is ideal for conferences and meetings because of its location within Northumberland close to the airport and the A1 and A69, but in a quiet rural setting.

“Dissington is peaceful but accessible with loads of parking and we felt the next step was to use part of the building as office space. We were inspired by our first office tenants Initial J Promotions who approached us looking for office space for their expanding business.” Michael explained.

Much careful thought and planning was required to ensure that weddings and offices were kept entirely separate. We are delighted to be able to announce that the first offices with their own private entrance are now available to rent. We believe that tenants will appreciate the light airy working spaces with the option of renting meeting rooms and training facilities on an adhoc basis.

The development has been supported by the Northumberland Small Grants Scheme as it will create new jobs and has lead to the development of additional workspace. The Scheme has been run by Northumberland County Council on behalf of the Northumberland Strategic Partnership.
