What time do your Public Christmas Events Start?

Our Public Events commence at 7.00pm with an arrival drink, to dine at 7.45pm. Last orders are called at the bar at 11.15pm, the bar closes at 11.30pm and the function ends at midnight. The exceptions to this are any daytime events where the timings will be published on our Public Event Flyers. Please ask a member of staff for more details.

Do you have a dress code at your Public Events?

We do not have a dress code at our Public Events; the decision is left entirely to the individual. Some guests chose black tie and some chose more casual dress.

I would like to attend a Public Event but I have a special dietary requirement, is this a problem?

The published menu will be served to all guests. The exceptions to this are those with special dietary requirements. We will need to know in advance if any guest is diabetic, needs a gluten free diet or has a nut allergy etc. We will be able to advise an alternative option for these guests. If you are unsure of the ingredient content of your chosen menu we will be happy to help. 

How do I book a ticket for a Public Event?

To book tickets please ask a member of staff for details of availability and costs. To confirm places we require each guest to pay a £5.00 deposit at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be payable at least 4 weeks in advance of the date. We will also require confirmation of any guests with special dietary requests to contact us at this point. Tickets are normally issued 7 days before the event.

What happens if we book numerous tickets and some guests change their mind after the deposit has been paid?

The deposit paid for each guest is non-refundable. There will of course be no need to pay the remaining balance for these guests if the tickets are cancelled with a member of staff more than 4 weeks in advance of the date.

Will my guests be able to book taxis when they arrive?

We have a full taxi list and a public phone in the Arch Room Bar for use by your guests. We advise that you book taxis and other transport early in the day.

Do you have disabled access?

Yes. There is access via the main entrance and the Garden Room for the main house and via the Billiard Room and Marquee for the lower part of the function suite. We will be happy to discuss any possible assistance prior to booking tickets.

Can we leave cars overnight in your car park?

Cars can be left in the public car park overnight at the owners risk. They must be picked up by 10.00 am the next morning.

Will a coach be able to access the hall easily and drop off guests?

If you book coaches for your guests please let us know who the company are in advance of your evening. Coaches will have no problems accessing Dissington Hall from the North (A696) direction. They must turn round near our public car park and leave via the entrance drive, the way they came in.

Will my guests be able to smoke inside the hall?

Dissington Hall is a no smoking venue.

 

Corporate Christmas Parties Frequently Asked Questions

We would like to hold our Company Christmas Party at Dissington Hall, is this possible?

We are delighted to host Private Christmas Party Nights throughout December for parties of between 50 and 160 guests. Please ask a member of staff for details of availability and costs.

What time do Corporate Christmas Party Nights normally start?

Our Christmas Party Nights normally commence at 7.00pm with an arrival drink followed by a 3 course meal with coffee at 7.45pm. Last orders are called at the bar at 11.15pm, the bar closes at 11.30pm and the function ends at midnight. The timings of the evening can be tailored to suit your individual needs.

Does the bar always close at 11.30pm?

A late license can be arranged Monday to Saturday for Corporate Christmas Party Nights. Last orders called at 11.45pm, bar closes at midnight and function ends at 12.30am. Please enquire about costs for the late license.

Is evening entertainment included in the ticket price for Corporate Christmas Party Nights?

Evening entertainment is not included in the ticket price for Corporate Nights. We can organise a disco, band, casino etc on your behalf if you wish. Please enquire about costs.

We would like a Corporate Christmas Party Night but would like to alter the menu from the version on the Flyer, is this possible?

If you would like to tailor the menu to suit your individual needs we would be happy to discuss some ideas with you. Please ask a member of staff about costs and options.
